If you ask people who Tim Wade is you will get a wide variety of answers. To some he is a chef, an author, and a photographer. To others he is a former truck driver. And still, to others he is a just a friend, a husband, father, and yes, a grandfather. He is all these things, and more. However, if you ask Tim who he is, he will tell you that he is just a flawed child of God who struggles with life just like any other person.
Tim was born in Clinton, Oklahoma, raised briefly in Texas, and then in North Carolina where he has lived for the past forty-plus years. He is married to Shannon, and has three daughters and one son. In a past life Tim has been a cook, a truck driver, author, teacher, and even a college pastor. Most of all Tim is a child of God who gave his life to Christ when he was seven years old. This is nothing to brag about, though. Tim will quickly tell you that had he not been saved, had the Holy Spirit of Jesus not been his guide, he would likely not be here today.
From birth, Tim showed signs of a bipolar disorder. Even as a child he was depressed, and at age seven contemplated suicide for the first time. However, despite all the evidence, Tim was not diagnosed as having a bipolar disorder until he had an emotional and mental breakdown when he was forty-two years old. Thankfully, Tim found help, and slowly rebuilt his life. Today Tim is stable, and happy, and more in love with life more than ever before.
